Volunteer: Design Thinking for (Very) Young Designers

Volunteer: Design Thinking for (Very) Young Designers

Join Beth Singer and Howard Smith as they deliver design thinking curriculum to very young designers of tomorrow. Volunteers will work side by side with our 70 first graders as they learn about PACKAGING. Both advantages and the problems with packaging as a polluter of the planet will be explored. Students will design their own packages using only recycled materials.

You will really enjoy this lively adventure if you like working with kids. The experience consists of two consecutive classes, with a 1.25 hour break. There will be a light brunch served in between the two classes and a facilitated design discussion for volunteers.

If you want to come for the early session only, you may.
Volunteers will receive an email a few days before with details on what to expect.

"The classes were really fun and honestly, I myself have learned from the kids. Their imagination and creativity are very impressive and they were so fun to work with. Thank you for doing such a great program!Khanh Pham, volunteer
