Volunteer: Design Thinking for (Very) Young Designers
Join Beth Singer and Howard Smith as they deliver design thinking curriculum to very young designers of tomorrow. Volunteers will work side by side with our first graders as they fulfill their design assignments. You will really enjoy this heart-warming adventure if you like working with kids.
The experience consists of two consecutive classes, with a 1.25 hour break. There will be a light brunch served in between the two classes and a facilitated design discussion for volunteers. *If you want to come for the early session only, you may.
Date: Sunday, November 12, 8:30 am-1:30 pm
Communicating with Words and Pictures Combined
Students learn that combining words and pictures can be very powerful through the medium of collage. Students will explore what constitutes a blessing and define the blessings in their lives.
Volunteers will receive an email a few days before with details on what to expect.
Parking is available on site, or we can pick some of you on the orange line metro in Clarendon. Dress in jeans; it's very casual.
Please provide your phone number and email upon registration.
