Transitions: What Comes After Design? A chat with AIGA Medalist Mark Randall

Join AIGA DC and AIGA Medalist Mark Randall for an intimate discussion about professional exploration and starting anew at any stage of your career.

Founding a nonprofit. Focusing on your ceramics. Breaking into the fashion industry. Opening a neighborhood DIY movie theater. Becoming a teacher. Getting that podcast going. Starting your own ice cream company.

“What do you really want to do next?” isn’t just a question for people starting their professional life. Many people find themselves repositioning or completely reinventing their careers after already finding success in other fields. Randall is one such person, while maintaining his position as Principal and Creative Director of Worldstudio, he has started to explore the launch of his own honey-based ice cream line called B Line. He’s just at the beginning and asking himself “is this a hobby or a new profession?” Mark is laying the groundwork for his future so he’s in the perfect position to talk about these kinds of transitions.
