Share a cup of tea and conversation with Maurice Cherry and learn about storytelling, championing the cause of diversity and inclusion in design, and his award-winning podcast Revision Path. From recognizing a gap in the industry to balancing a full-time job and side projects, he is doing it all with grace and conviction.

BIO:
Maurice CherryMaurice Cherry is a 2018 recipient of the Steven Heller Prize for Cultural Commentary from AIGA and host of the podcast Revision Path. Since 2013, Revision Path has showcased over 250 Black designers, developers, and creators from all over the world. From his passion projects (Black Weblog Awards, 28 Days of the Web, and The Year of Tea) to his role teaching web design and development, Maurice fills a gap in education and is a voice for diversity and inclusion.

Maurice’s work has been recognized by Apple, NPR, News One, AIGA, HOW, Print, The Dieline, Creative Market, Buffer, Columbia Journalism Review, and The Atlanta-Journal Constitution. Recently he was named by Graphic Design USA Magazine as one of their “People to Watch” for 2018. Maurice holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Morehouse College and a Masters degree in telecommunications management from Keller Graduate School of Management. He currently serves as design communications strategist at Fog Creek Software in New York City.
