Ask Me Anything w/ Carlyle Nuera

The toys designers enjoy in their youth – and the ideas they inspire – often stay with them well into their careers. Sometimes they become their career! This month, we’re excited to chat with a designer who works on one of the world’s most iconic toys — Barbie. Join us for an Ask Me Anything with Carlyle Nuera, lead designer on the Barbie Signature team at Mattel. Nuera will discuss his design journey, the brand’s creative process and how inclusion plays a role in the toy aisle.

This lunchtime conversation is perfect for those who grew up with Barbie, are interested in toy design or just want to know where they can get adult-sized versions of Barbie’s wardrobe. Log on to the AIGA DC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Slack Channel on Tuesday, March 9 from 12:00–1:00 PM EST.
