Design 4 Democracy: Postcard Party

Join AIGA DC for an evening of civic participation, connection, and creativity.
We’ll provide the art supplies, a cup of joe, and a group of collaborators ready to help. You’ll provide the ideas, opinions, or an inspiring message you’d like a stranger to discover. Together, we’ll turn them into postcards. No prior design necessary. Take this opportunity to slow down, stop doom scrolling and make something cool in the name of democracy! Every finished postcard has the chance to be considered for an upcoming community exhibition.

By the end of this session, participants will have:

• Designed an individual postcard

• Received live, personalized creative direction from a working designer

• Contributed work to the community exhibition selection process

• Experienced the energy of collaborative making

Design 4 Democracy: Postcard Party is inspired by AIGA National’s Get Out the Vote campaign. Help us shape the conversation around civic engagement, one postcard at a time.
