Once upon a time, there was a group of designers in the DMV that wanted to read more, talk about books with fellow creatives, and celebrate a combined love of reading and learning. And so, from far-and-wide (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), By Its Cover was formed! Our kickoff social is May 17 at 11:00 a.m. in Dacha Beer Garden, Shaw to connect, network, and share your reading goals. No reading required, before or after the kickoff event. All are welcome!

Our first book will be The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin, a book that’s been waiting for you on your TBR list. The official first book club meeting to discuss The Creative Act will be in July. But why wait?!
