Serving on the Board
Being a member of the AIGA DC Board means being an ambassador for design — to members, non-members, and the broader DMV community.
What’s the commitment?
Board service is a two-year commitment, though many members choose to stay longer. At the end of each year, board members can decide to continue in their current role or move to another open position.
All board members are expected to:
Be (or become) AIGA members in good standing at any level.
Attend all required planning retreats and monthly board meetings.
Attend major chapter events (board members get in free!).
Stay responsive on Slack and email — Slack is our main communication platform.
The weekly time commitment varies by role and time of year.
