CreateAthon® is a 24-hour event where creative professionals and students get together to provide pro bono services to nonprofits. You’ll get to practice your skills for the benefit of the community, co-design with like-minded creatives, be well-fed and have fun!

CreateAthon is a great way to network and work side-by-side with other creatives, add work to your portfolios, and give back to the community. Meals and beverages will be provided throughout.

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING VOLUNTEERS

How CreateAthon works:

• • Nonprofits apply, applications are reviewed and a select few are chosen.
  • Creative volunteers apply by Feb. 11, 11:59 p.m.
    • Volunteers will be chosen based on the projects and needed skill sets.
    • Selected volunteers will be notified in mid-February 2018.
  • Kickoff meeting
    • All participating nonprofits and volunteers attend a kickoff meeting in March 2018. (Exact dates and times are forthcoming.)
  • CreateAthon DC begins
    • The 24-hour event will take place on Saturday, April 7 – Sunday, April 8, 2018. (Exact times forthcoming.)
    • Nonprofits review their projects at a presentation at the end of the event.
    • Nonprofits have one day to provide feedback, request changes or approve.
    • Volunteers have one day to make changes and deliver final files to the nonprofit.
