An Evening with Macaw

Join AIGA DC for close look at responsive web design workflows and peek under the hood of Macaw, a new tool to design and code responsive experiences.

Sorry, this event is at capacity. Thanks for your interest.

From the beginning of time—or the birth of the internet—web designers have been restricted by tools unintended for their craft. Through the introduction of responsive design, a web design practice that allows for websites to be read comfortably on every kind of device, the designer’s job now has an additional level of complexity. Unfortunately, our tools haven’t quite caught up. But, thanks to a friendly bunch of entrepreneurs here in DC, all of that is about to change. Join us for an evening with DC-based Macaw, makers of an awesome new tool created to easily design and code responsive experiences. If you need some proof that people are excited: This startup raised a stunning $200,000 over their Kickstarter goal last year. The folks from Friendly Design Co. will kick the evening off with a run-down of responsive workflow best practices. We’re not in Photoshop any more, this is an event you don’t want to miss.

The event will take place at the office of AARP on 601 E St NW.

The event holds 130 people. We're currently at capacity.

A portion of this event’s proceeds will go to a scholarship for the next generation of designers through AIGA DC’s Continuum Fund.
